What's new

Another RDA question?!

I think that’s exactly why I’ve got such high expectations. So many people have said that they taste notes in their juice that they never thought were even there before switching to RDA’s!

But you are right. I’m probably setting myself up for disappointment.

It's possible (depending on the tank and RDA) ;) but flavour notes you've never tasted before aren't always a welcome thing, it doesn't always make it taste 'better' ... it could be a flavour note brought to the front that you aren't very keen on! :D

It will taste different I'm sure but I wouldn't bet on much else. :)

Having just done the "switch" very recently (last week) I would say that it's definitely worth it.

It's not so much that I tasted things I never tasted before, but the existing flavours were much more pronounced.

I haven't found dripping too much of a hassle, but relatively yes of course it is.

I now have the RTA for in the car and on the move and the RDA for work/home. Best of both worlds.

And more importantly, I got my RDA for 9.99. It's a (seemingly very good) clone of the well-known Dead Rabbit. For that money... Why the hell not??
If it's not what you thought, you're down 10 quid and no worse off.

have seen the drone, the new one that I heard on the lost vape forun is a replacement to the drone. Aparently its dual battery will run 167 although its a 250c chip, and has a 12ml bottle but like I said havent heard anything else about it. Although at one point I was considering the furyan.
Those specs are for the Drone. Drone with a 250C board will be 200w, same as the Paranormal. The 250C board does 200w (2 cell), 300w (3 cell) & 400w with a 4 cell LiPo. It can't be limited to 167w max, that was a limitation of the old 200/250 boards. To be honest, unless they improve the route for the juice, I'm giving it a miss.

The size, width & depth, of the newer board are the likely reason for a delay. They wont fit into the current Drone body with it's current layout.

ahh thanks for that. must investigate it.

If you're dripping don't get the Recurve. It's designed for squonking and has a small well, I tried it as a dripper at first. Seemed like I was dripping more than vaping...
I've got the regular Drop, it's very easy to build on, more suited to high wattage builds imo, the Solo is a little smaller I think, I'm sure that would be an OK choice. The Profile is a mesh rda, it'll take regular coils but looks fiddly, not a good choice imo unless you wanna get meshy.
I can't honestly say if RDA's are miles better than tanks cos I can't remember what they were like. I prefer them because of the ease of changing coils, cotton and juice. You won't regret it I'm sure but hardly a whole new world of vaping experiences.

I'd also like to add that the Asmodus C4 and Advken Gorge are excellent flavour focused single coil RDA's that both drip and squonk equally well.

The Profile is a doddle to use on a squonker, tried dripping but you'd need an intravenous drip stand :D. Drop solo is streets better than the Recurve & drips well. All in my opinion I'll add.
