Another survey...

Given the bias towards cigalike users in that survey, I did chuckle about how they're going to interpret the responses from us gen 2 and gen 3 users, especially as a good proportion of us mix our own juice. I gave cigalike products a bit of a slating.

Cigalike users will be the least informed of all vapers and I would have thought both the most difficult to reach with this kind of survey and least likely to respond.

Good luck to whoever has to pick the bones out of it. I was nice to them, I didn't list all 96 flavours that I've "puffed on" ...

I did feel the need to inform, educate & raise awareness ! What's wrong with me ?:jawdrop:

I have done the survey and in the final comments stated that until an independent study is done that isn't funded by a tobacco company how could the findings be totally believed

Sent from my iPhone using Planet of the Vapes

I just put "All" in the flavours I'd tried. Saved about an Hour of typing :D

I really, really, really tried not to waffle on too much in the closing comments bit, and very nearly succeeded...

Well that was a lengthy one............. OOOOoooo er missus.
all done and submitted

Why are apes supporting big tobacco by filling in this survey? I ran a mile from it, Dr. F or not.

It may be as Mawsley suspects that Dr F is a sell out in which case we may have been idiots to do the survey, and certainly doing a survey financed by BAT is against my natural instincts.
I would be interested in any evedence that Dr F is not to be trusted as I have only heard good things and while I have read some of his stuff I do not follow his every move.
I took part in the belief that an objective scientist who's findings and pronouncements have generally been benefitial to our cause as vapers, was recomending it as a positive course of action.
Only time will tell, if and when they publish a paper.
I find it hard to see why a bunch of reasonably well informed apes would not have a positive effect on a scientific study.
The fact anyone can go on and do the survey does cast doubt on the validity of any results, because whether you are pro or anti you can fill it in in accordance to your own agenda. Self selecting groups for a survey is not very scientific.

Whether I would recommend other people to do the survey or not would boil down to, is Dr F still a good guy in which case I would say trust his judgement and do it, or is his motivation somehow suspect in which case maybe not.
Or perhaps even if it is a crap survey it still may be worth having your input.
Or you could be right and we should not take part in any BAT funded studies as it supports them.

''If you couldn't get hold of an e-cigarette right now, what is the most you would be willing to pay (in pounds) for just one puff of your favourite e-cigarette?'' :18: Reminds me being on shop corners, buying smokes off the older generation!! What type of questions is this! lol
