70% alc = 30 sec surface time
Peroxide = 1 minute surface time

Boiling water enough to kill viruses and bacteria takes 10 min, iir from my camping days, so steam may take that long as well
It is the time to boil, i think u r right, but there is also a time needed once it is boiling, i always carried chlorine tabs, which just make bleach, so no good for this situation.Isn't that getting it up to the boiling temp?
