Any advice?

I am thinking of making a regulated box mod using the box shown. I would have liked to fit a DNA board with charger board but space might be tight with twin 18650's so I thought maybe a twin cell pack. Hmmmmm might consider a 60Watt Raptor, I don't know? Also it dose look tight to get the 510 nice with twin 1850's on that bat sledge. They also sell one that is narrower but is longer. Anyone tried one or has some advice?

Pretty sure I saw a raptor build in the wider case, didn't look too tight. But thats subjective of course . It even had space for a 'proper' button too!

+ I'm pretty sure you would get a DNA in there with the space available. Might take some careful positioning though. Not that I care for evolve.....wap a sx350j in there already!

hi mate its hard to tell from the pics not sure you will be able to get your 510 over far enough without hitting you battery and so your atty won't hang over the edge, measure from the top left outside edge in 16mm and see if your over the battery if you are its a bigger box that's based on fitting 22mm atty to line up with the very edge of the box and a 10mm hole for your 510, 11mm to the center of the hole then 5mm to the edge of the hole if you get what i'm on abought

is this your first mod ? and which dna board you thinking of ? allso have a look on Mod Making Information lot of wiring diagrams, info and examples

Ric fitted the larger SX350J in the same enclosure so the smaller DNA will fit with room to spare.



EDIT Might even have enough room to mount the board and charger on a 3d printed cradle or one of those from Stealthvape

is that the same box the space next to the battery looks tiny in that pic

I might still go for cell packs rather than 18650's...just got to try some more info on them (trying to find some with a high enough mah @ high enough constant amps).

Thanks m8....yup, it will be my first regulated mod....up till now I have done a few simple box mods with mosfets. I want to make a pistol grip regulated mod with exotic wood scales on the sides of the grip. This will be a combination project of my knife building and mod building, an evolutionary step!

Hey, thanks for the heads up with the link, I will have a good look.

I did find some cells on Ebay that look promising. I would like to try 3 in parallel, they are allegedly 2000mah 3.7v 25C, so on a 30-40W reg board they should be well within spec and at a projected (if you can believe what is written on a cell) 6000mah capacity! I just might try MM's mm456B board or I have found a supply of DNA30's for about £29.00 delivered complete with a USB board which sounds like good value!

With the grip mod, it will be brass with trigger guard, I fancy using a small micro switch behind the trigger..... Just wait, I will build one...go to the pub with it and then get bloody shot by SO19!!!!! "Guv I fort he had a pistol"!!!
