My journey.... I'm 39 and had been smoking for just over 20 years. I'd had a constant cold for what seemed like years but I'd been getting the odd pain in my chest for around a year but didn't go the drs.
I finally did go to the Drs as I seemed to be constantly coughing crap up and getting the pains. She said she I had a lung infection and gave me antibiotics and also antiinflammatory s as she said my lung was inflamed.
To cut a long story short - after a few different courses of antibiotics I was sent for an xray. A week later I was called into the Drs who told me it didn't look like cancer but a really bad infection ( this didn't rest my mind!) and I had to go for another xray in four weeks plus another course of antibiotics.
The worry and stress I felt for those weeks was unbelievable , especially as I have a 19 month old son. I sometimes used to cry when we were alone, thinking I wouldn't see him grow up and he'd be left without a dad due to my stupidness in smoking but incredibly I carried on smoking!!!
Anyway, 6 days after my xray I rang the drs to be told everything was normal and no further action was required. The relief I felt was incredible and I threw my cigs in the bin, went to my local cape shop and have not or even wanted a CIG since.
Its been 4 weeks today and after many attempts to quit before and failing, I can honestly say that I will never smoke another CIG again. I'm actually hardly vaping a lot now either, maybe 3 mil in 4-5 days , most of that when having a beer as its never out of my hand then
Sorry if any spelling mistakes etc in that. I'm on a tablet and I've got big fingers
Much love to vapers and vaping
