Any Origen owners? I need some help

Right so I got an Origen V2 from shmovapes last week. I'm not having much luck with it. I'm not getting much flavor compared to my other high end RDA's. I've tried a few different builds (24g dual micro coils @ 0.4 ohms, 28g dual micro coils at 0.3 ohms and 28g dual micros at 0.9 ohms) all have been really lacking in taste. I've tried different amounts of cotton in the wells and it hasn't made any difference. I want to stick with this RDA because I've heard such great things about it, just feel like I should ask if there's any tips or tricks before I sell it.

Are you sure the airholes are correctly aligned .... directly in front of the coils ?
Your not drowning the wicks are you ?
Try testing firing the coils without the topcap and AFC

honestly I virtually chucked a build in mine on voodoowool single coil 1 ohmish bags of flavour !

Hmmm I think I might be putting to much Eliquid. I'm gonna try a new build and I'll report back.

Right I rebuilt it 8 wraps of 28g got me .5 ohms


Put some cotton in and put less Eliquid in


It tastes a bit better but no where near as good as my zenith. Do my coils look too close to the centre post? What about the height of them?

What strikes me is that if those coils can be carefully raised up a bit higher it should help. Mine is 0.85ohm horizontal with the air holes lined up just below the middle of the coil.

Just rebuilt it again, raised the coils a bit and moved them away from the centre post and still same weak flavour and weak vapor. I'm done for tonight gonna try horizontal coils in the morning.

Ok I rebuilt it with horizontal coils and had the coils just above the air holes and the difference is like night and day. Tons of flavour (more than my zenith) and thick dense vapor. Really happy that I finally got this RDA performing. Seems to me that the key is getting the coils inline with the air holes sweet spot. Thanks for the help everyone

Excellent mate. Worth sticking with it too because now it'll get easier. Damn chuffed with mine.
