What's new

Anybody tried these?

I understand people would want to be a 100%, another site HERE If you click on each individual flavour they actually state whether or not it is suitable for E-Cigs, would you still be tempted to phone them and query what exactly is in their stuff though?

Just to add a bit - if any of the flavourings contain oil, they should turn cloudy when mixed with water. I have also got to add that the supplier is clearly a catering supplier - why would they advocate a use for which they are not marketing them for? I don't really see the need for outrage that they can't or won't be any more helpful than they have already been. If they were a vaping supplier, fair enough, but they're not. The flavourings are marketed as food flavourings, and that is what this company is selling them as. I can understand why they might be a little wary of advocating them for inhalation - it is out of their remit. There are plenty of vaping suppliers selling concentrates - use them instead, but having said that, I've had some very suspect flavours in the past from vaping suppliers which turned cloudy when mixed - so there are no absolute guarantees, and that is the nature of our "craft"! :D

what a bullshit answer, sorry but they look to me to be promoting it as for food use and because you dont want to use it for food they wont say, what if you did ie I want to put it in my cakes.

Its to do with your health and the fact that you dont want to vape anything you shouldnt, surely they could tell you there is nothing harmful at least or do they not know????

Sorry for the rant but I think that is p poor answer although we now know its water based which it already said on the site anyway.

So who is selling what then? And I quote. Have you questioned Capella as to what exactly is in their products or take it for granted just because it is advertised for vaping. Let us just say one of these two companies I have mentioned setup a seperate website selling their flavourings for making E-Liquid, would they have to have some sort of seperate tests done on their products before being allowed to advertise it as such?

Actually, this is quite interesting, because the flavourings are very much the argument of many anti-vaping brigade. Whilst there is a lot of evidence that inhaling PG and VG is regarded as mildly irritant to generally harmless, the flavours are, in the majority, the unknown quantity.

Of course, Flavour Art have a big ongoing project regarding the safety of their flavourings (or at least I think it is FA), but as many flavourings are primarily used as food flavours, there seems to be very little conclusive evidence for and against their use as vaping ingredients - aside from anecdotal evidence that very few people seem to be experiencing issues, but it is early days.

My personal view is that if they contain oil, and are known to contain oil, I won't touch them. Lipid pneumonia is something I don't want to experience - aside from that, I am largely relying on the experience of others to guide me. Of course, that, and my own personal experience of a massive increase in health since packing in the fags and picking up a vaping device. Very few flavours have caused me issues personally.

The only other thing I would say that if it is artificially coloured or gives me a headache on first vape, I avoid that too.

I think that asking suppliers of food flavourings to confirm that their products are safe for inhalation needs to be handled with a lot of caution, as discussions could easily be picked up, manipulated and ultimately used to reinforce the anti-vaping argument for why vaping must be regulated. But I may be Friday-afternoon paranoid! :)

I am not posting any of this to be confrontational, I promise. :D:thumbup:

what got my goat is that they said that because it wasnt for food they wouldnt say, I know that doesnt mean they will if you said it was just a bizzare answer. As said they are marketing for food so I dont expect them to 100% know if it is safe..................must have been wound up a lil reading the answer as I wouldnt normally rant.

Anyway good that they are not got oil in thats one plus but any info would be good for sure

Dear Sir,

The manufacturer of the product refuses to supply this information as the flavour drops are not food.

Capella will tell you what is in them if you ask. They also have a notice of which flavours are "safe for vaping"

Cupcake World also has told us what is in their FC's as have a multitude of other companies.

Cheers, I was not looking to kick anything off here, just interested in getting myself asrmed with as many facts as possible.
