Now personally i dont know if this is a good or bad thing.

Last night during im a celeb VIP ran an advert that has got everyone talking and has now resulted in complaints from all sides including smokers, nonsmokers and vapers. Personally i can see their points, but:

Is any press good press? personally i erring on the side of caution and think this could actually be very bad for the industry at such a sensitive time.

"One ad shows a woman, and the other a man, both speaking directly to the camera. "Complainants object that the language used in the ads is overly sexual and offensive while others object that the ad sexualises and glamorises e-cigarettes and/or smoking.
"We have now launched a formal investigation into these ads."
Makers of the VIP e-cig said they had created the commercial in response to an EU ban on actually showing their product on-screen.

LOL considering I think porn is the best comedic relief in the world, the ads make me guffaw with LULZ :P

It's too funny and if someone perceives it as sexual then thats their dirty minds fault!

Just strikes me that once again a bunch of coke-snorting ad execs have made money from being lazy and are devoid of any real imagination.

I think they really had it going on with the idea below, a shame they threw away a great angle.

They didn't throw it regs now ban showing the product in adverts.

And I agree the ad itself is innocent, yes their intentional innuendo is clear but there was no genuinely offensive material there its all imagined, but.... If the asa draw against vip, which they shouldn't, it does give antivapers another propaganda nail that vape companies will do whatever it takes to sell products.

It is ridiculous I mean remember the old flake adverts!!! Ads for lynx etc all have sexual innuendos too.

Don't see how the ads glamourise smoking in any way... no tobacco smoke involved.

If they glamourise vaping then why should that be an issue?

The antis are getting desperate in their attempts to keep a lid on the vaping explosion.

I don't see the Express kicking off about sex toy adverts on some mainstream satellite channels (Good Food).

Perhaps they're not getting a kick-back from anyone to make a noise about those.

Okay vapors will know its not a add to glamorise smoking, but a vast majority of people think its a form of smoking.
If people complain about this advertisement,it will put ecigs in a bad light
Glamorise ecigs all you want, when its not in threat of a EU ban
A bit more information on the product benefits, at least say its not harmful, then the girl can do a pole dance,
,

I heavily dislike the advert (I saw it a few weeks ago). It uses all the old tricks from big tobacco many years ago and in a time where we want to be different and seem better we are not going to. It's all about the money and while it doesn't glamourise smoking it is still a dick move.
