Hey guys,

Hopefully posting in the right place! I’ve started having issues with my minikin v2 that won’t stop firing after I release the button. I sent it off for warranty repair after I had to reinstall the firmware and they couldn’t replicate the issue. Having received it back I’m using new batteries and a new RDA and 250 puffs in it’s started doing it again.

Has anyone experienced issues like this? Am I doing something wrong? I’m not sure whether to send it back or just get another mod.

If I were to get another mod does anyone have any recommendations? I normally use a Kennedy 25 at about 80W (no temp control or anything) and I’d just like something that works well, looks decent and is well made.

Thanks for your time!

I haven't experienced this with mine however I'd point your issue at liquid getting into the Micro switch under the button or a grounding issue.

I can definitely recommend a Cuboid. Imo they're as reliable as it gets for regulated dual cell mods. It vapes nice in TCR and VW, firmaware updatable, it will run a single cell and the finishes holdup well. You have variation of like 12 different Cuboid to pick from all ranging in price by this point in time so vape budget hands aren't really needed.

I have zero experience with your type of device but some of the buttons on my landline phone were sticking in the on position a few weeks ago.
I sprayed with " Sevisol super 10 switch cleaning lubricant " and it has been fine ever since.
Cost about £5 I think, a few years ago.
I use it to clean the contacts on my mechs, but has also fixed a sticky washing machine timer.
Good gear, worth having around the house even if it does not fix your mod.

Ive never had this problem with mine but the shape and style of the button with over dripping is a nightmare. A few times ive had liquid go in the button and then wiped it away and after pressing the button a few times its wet again.

If its still under warranty and you get free repairs you may aswell send it back. Can always get a new mod aswell, you can never have to many [emoji23]

Thanks for the reply’s guys, I have had liquid over dripping issues in the past, but not recently. Saying that though makes me wonder if vapour residue is getting into the button, as the air hole is right over it (as per pic)

I think I’ll send back and see if I can get it repaired and pick up a second mod. I’ll definitely check out the cuboid, thanks for the tip!

Nice, I really like the drip tip! I nearly went for a shiny one but I ended up with the raw one, I like how it shines up in some places and is rough in others

I’ve given it a good clean and have been testing it tonight and seems to be okay for now but I’ve picked up a cuboid just in case!

As long as the door doesn't break they seem to go forever. Joytech even made a variation that played mp3 . I had a few mods break going back to the Cuboid as a backup until payday. I got mine in mid 2015 and it's still cracking just battle scarred and a bit ugly.
