so, in the last week, decided my Vaporesso Swags needed a coil change, I have at least a couple on the go at any one time as I like to use more than one flavour during the day. Flavours were great when put in a new mesh GT coil on two....for 24 hours, the rank with both of them, tasting a bit burnt. Run out of GT but had a Smok one lying around which tasted fine and still does. Bought some more Smok ones from local vape shop and used two, both of which refuse to work saying check atomiser. Today I bought slightly different Smok ones from different place.and tried one, same thing happened.

So have now had 5 coils in a row, different sorts, that have either worked for 24 hours or not at all. Nothing else is different, primed in way I always do, left at least an hour, using lower wattage at first. What on earth is going on? I have tried them in different tanks but still no good.

Smok coils have a terrible reputation. You might be better to stick with the vaporesso ones.

That’s what I have understood, used Smok because the one I had was ok when GT were tasting horrible after 24 hours. Aargh! Nightmare when things don’t work like they usually do.

dont think ive had a bad GTmesh or GT8 one yet and ive got 5 vaporesso tanks so have got through a few coils over the past 18 months.
sounds like you doing everything right as in priming and starting low.
what ratio of juice are you using. could well be a bad batch or a couple of duff coils in a box, where did you buy from.

This is not good. I get 2-3 weeks from the gt mesh coils (used exclusively, except when I'm in work and switch to a pocket-friendly mod). Where did you buy them?

What happened with the GT coils may have been my fault in that I managed to accidentally put mod onto temp Fahrenheit...with both. Only realised when I had a yucky puff. Immediately put it back onto watts and seemed ok initially then horrible next day.
As far as Smok coils are concerned, it would appear Smok have made them too short but if you pull base out a little they work. Man at Superior Vapour said a lot of people had been back with same problem, shame they didn’t mention it on Tuesday when I got them.
Have got some more GT coils which are fine, in fact I’ve got a lot of coils now
