Hello, i'm new to this forum and very new to vaping. So i bought my mod and it came today. It was an old mod "geekvape blade" at first it was working good and all that but after i decided to try and practice how to build coils, it just wont work anymore. It kept flashing in the screen "protection atomizer short." I removed the atomizer and it displayed the same text, when it's supposed to be "no atomizer" and i did my fair share of troubleshooting looking for solution on the internet, tried them all, none of them worked, so here i am, asking for help. I dont want to smoke again please help me. Thank you

Hi @Spidereggsandoatmeals and welcome to the planet.

i know nothing about this mod or kit so cant help much.
what tank are you using on the mod and what coil was in the tank or as you said you have now tried building coils and it shows short. is it a rda or rta you have on the top.
looking at the review linked below what setting have you got it in. wattage i hope and and not bypass as this turns it into a unregulated mech which can be dangerous for beginners.
also what make and model of batteries are you using.

hopefully someone that knows this kit can advise further.

Sounds like your coil building needs a bit of work.
If it is indeed shorting out then that means a part of the coil is touching a part of the atomizer it shouldn't.
Or the resistance of your coil is too low for the mod to fire which is a safety feature of the mod.
Can you give us some more information on the wire used and how you've built your coil or coils and what atomizer are you using.

i didn't really "build" my coils. they're premade coils, and im just practicing on how to build myself. for the atomizer i'm using (Brainbox concept headv2)

weird that when he removes the tank it still shows the short message.

OOOOerrr check the 510 adaptor atop your mod for a stray coil leg or other foreign body possibly causing a short.

if using a mod to build on (something i do all the time btw) i would suggest clicking off the mod until either a reading or test fire is warranted.. and clicking off again until the coil is finally wicked and juiced too..
