What's new

B & M trade is dying

If my memory serves me rightly, you’d tried that liquid at Cloud57? Found we stocked it and asked Aaron if we’d get more in?

Replenished stock on that as we take on feedback ;)

You're memory is spot on. It was the Crumbles Creme Brulee, my other half loves it.

We always remember special requests / things we get asked for. ;)

If we can in anyway assist someone, we do so and don’t forget. Elephant memories [emoji23]

I'll have to nip back soon, could do with more Rhubarb Tart!

In fact... Have time off work next week, I'll call in one morning, afraid I'll have the dog!

Hey nothing wrong with a dog in STEAM :), just the admission fee of petting them.

Sure thing dude, if you pop in Mon-Thurs next week, you’ll see me.

Coffees on me [emoji1303]

Twisted my arm mate!

See you next week.

Sadly what @ianleeds said is true. A lot of the b&ms in Newcastle & Gateshead are like that too, empty, not well stocked, staff look fed up and desperate to chat to someone :(
I try to drop in to my local b&m once a week even if its just to say hi, talk crap about vape or try a bunch of juices. Sometimes I'll take the guy a coffee, or a do-nut...or some new juice I got my sticky paws on if I think it's a good un. They helped me quit smoking and were fantastically patient in the face of all my silly newbie questions, they're a 15min walk away from my house and I appreciate them being there. I buy most of my stuff online but if they happen to have something I want in stock then I'll pay the little extra and get it from them - when it comes to local shops it's a case of use it or lose it.

Another issue sadly for B&Ms, one in my town is closing its doors September 30th.

The reason being? The TPD and other shops, sadly flaunting it.

The guys who are doing it all by the book, are the ones to fall foul to the TPD.

The guys defying the law and selling illegal tanks / juice sizes containing nicotine are taking business from the those playing by the ball.

Now don’t get me wrong, some shops do price themselves out the market...

Went to my local farm shop the other day. bag of 12 nicest apples iv had in a while all for £1!!...£2.60 for 6 genetically modied tasteless imported apples down at my local supermarket...unless your braindead, you go for the former.
Point being, they produce their own shit! Vapeshops dont, just buy and sell for ripoff pricess, just like the big corporate supermarkets. Nothing to do with tpd. To do with how fucked this country is...its not necassarily the vapeshops fault, because theyve gotta make some profit to live on whilst paying for everything else thar involes running a shop (rents, taxes , stock etc..) the thing that vapeshops fucked up on...was thinking it to be a good idea opening up a highstreet shop after the highstreets were already in a state of decline...people have been wise to shopping online for over a decade now. So how can you possibly be suprised about how dead they are??

Internet cafes used to be popular on the highstreet untill it got cheap enough and easy enough to sort out your own internet, now look...theyre pretty much extinct

^^^ it is most definitely this

Its also on top of anything else a time of year thing - those of us vendors and shops that have been around awhile will remember that the summer is always a bit slow - this year has been slower than most though to be fair, kinda hoping it all picks back up on the run up to winter and Christmas
