Back with more coil issues

So I got rid of the stinky smok kit I was using and switched to a Vaporesso gen air 40 - all was going well, til I decided I wanted to use Heisenberg (an old favourite)

I’m using the 0.8ohm coils as they’re recommended for 50%+ PG, which Heisenberg is - however I’ve burnt through 3 coils so far

it’s definitely not me, as all other liquids I’ve used with these coils have been fine! The Heisenberg tastes fine for maybe 30 mins to an hour before it starts to taste burnt

Some liquids are just coil killers.
There is not much that can be done about it.
Provided you use the recommended pg/vg ratio all you can do to preserve coil life is drop your wattage.

I know your pain, I only like 1 50/50 flavour and it kills my coils too.
but thankfully I use rebuildables so I can just change wicks every day.

is it the original vampire vapes heisen or a cloned version as there are so many out there.

whats your vape style, do you prefer mouth to lung, restricted direct to lung or full on clouds.

the 0.8 is rated 12-16w
have tried just this juice with the 0.4 26-32w or the 0.6 20-26w

also are you priming the coil first. drip on cotton then fill up and start very low. for a coil rated 12-16w id start at 5 or 6w and take a good few puffs then turn up 1 watt each puff til you reach your sweet spot but try not to push it to the max 16w but stick to around 14w and see how that goes.
no idea why other juices work ok except it could be plenty of sweetner gunking them up fast.

Vampire vape Heisen isn't a coil killer Im 60ml in with the same coil (innokin), can't speak for the cloned versions.

It’s the OG vampire vapes one - I tried it with both coils it came with as well as the replacement 0.8s, so it def burnt out the 0.4 too

thinking it just might not be compatible with these coils, I’m not doing anything differently and I’ve tried 4 other juices just to be sure it’s not me haha

Forgot to add this kit only has 4 voltage settings and the power button, nothing to properly modify the wattage - I’ve tried keeping it on the lowest setting but that gave no flavour

Hi @CaraJay I don't use the same kit but I found 0.8 coils a bit tricky with 50/50 liquids. I found 1.2 coils work better and last longer. I will also add that @MrDJ advice about priming and starting really low on power works wonders. So maybe try a pack of 1.2 coils and see how long they last? My coils suggest priming in the tank for 15 minutes but I prefer to leave them a few hours to really soak and they work so much better. Hope this helps!
