Batteries & charger

Hi mate, just recently been looking for a top 18650 myself for a single 100w mod. After days searching I decided on this. The "Man" gives it the thumbs up. That's good enough for me. Mines ordered.

@Tazz, thanks for the info mate. I was all set to get some VTC5As before I saw the molicels.
One of them is going in my Aegis solo too :) ...nice little everyday out’n’about mod and the water/shock proofing is essential for my kack-handed ways.

Thanks @nwhornet. The P28A’s were out of stock by the time I got home this evening so I got a couple of the P26A’s, and the code you linked worked a treat.
I held off on the charger for now as I was umming & erring over the xtar VC4, VC4S or the 2-cell SV2 ‘rocket’. The 2A charging on the last 2 appealed but wasn’t sure it was worth the extra cost in reality (+£5 for QC3.0 adapter on VC4S worth getting?), or if only having 2 slots on the SV2 would bug me down the line.
The P26a are fine, little less run time but you wont notice especially in a reg mod. Charger wise I'm spoilt as have a VC4, Dragon (VC4S closest comparison but mains powered), couple of Gyrfalcon 4 bays, PB2 & the new PB2S. The VC4 is solid but slow being USB, the VP4 charges at the same rates 2 x 1A or 4 x 0.5A but comes with mains plug so works out cheaper as no USB wall plug to buy. My personal preference is mains not USB because USB chargers can & do drop back to lowest charge rate if the adaptor can't provide sufficient power. This happens on both my VC4 & Gyrfalcon AL40. The last 2 I mentioned are portable power bank/charger/storage case so only relevant if you need a power source when out & about. As your only using a single cell mod you could get away with a 2 bay but if you either get more mods or dual/triple cell mods then you'd be paying out again for a charger. Any other questions just shout :)2

Thank you, very useful info ...and now I also have a PB2 on order from fogstar ;)
I didn’t even look at it before, then you mentioned the portability & power bank features and it made better sense for my requirements. I often carry a hefty bank anyway for phone/tablet charging on the go which I can now replace with a small light unit that also sorts out my mod cell charging needs ...2 birds 1 stone, bosh, jobs a goodun’ :)

I’m sure further down the line, when I have more shiny things to feed, a 4 cell charger will make good sense too, but a good stay-at-home unit shouldn't make the PB2 obsolete due to its versatility.

Thanks again @nwhornet :D

No probs mate & keep an eye out for the upgraded version I reviewed here https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/.../threads/xtar-pb2s-charger-power-bank.185874/ Fogstar should get it fairly soon. Was only released last week. Ideal for me as I use the larger batteries as well.

Good review & sounds like another quality unit.
For a sec I though “arse, shot my bolt too early, again!”, but I’m only rocking 18650’s at the mo’ so hopefully the PB2 will be all I need for a while yet.
