Batteries/chargers advice please

Thank you so much for the advice everyone, I have ordered from Torchy's ebay site as recommended. I wonder if one of the mods would consider doing a sticky on this subject as given the potential seriousness of getting the wrong batteries/ charger and the recent horror stories and pictures of exploding batteries and chargers that catch fire it could be a potential life saver for people like me who are new to all of this, who's only real experience of rechargeable batteries tends to be their mobile phone which we just plug in and never give it a second thought.
