Bought a hana mini DIY kit.
Thought I might be able to shoe horn a 18650 in with a bit of a case fettle but I think it will end in a fail.

Question is has any body used 1 of the turnigy 1200mah lipo batterys in their mods.?
Ive seen 1 in a vapor shark but Im a bit scared of the lipo battery fireball scare stories I have read.
Im mostly worried about charging it with the on board usb chips.
Other wise Im going to have to go with a regular 18500.
Any suggestions/advice welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Havn't used them yet, but i have some on order at the moment, hobbyking only has them at the hong kong warehouse though and mine have now been in the post for nearly a month, last thing i need to put my little wooden mini box together.

i was also pondering this idea but i believe there are more manufactures of 18500 wich all have a higher mah than the turnigy round lipos, and since dna's taste and perform far better to me personally at 1.5-2 ohms an 18500 would be a far better choice imo.

Yep I spent a couple of hours last night trying too track them in the uk with no joy.
Good luck with finishing your box will look forward to seeing it.

I did read at 1 point someone alleged in the states that their lipo 1200 on a DNA 30 was lasting only 25% less time wise at the same settings as a 2900mah 18650 was lasting which is why I was pondering them.
At some point Im gonna try a lipo but I think for now Im going to go with the 18500s as I know it will go in the case with a bit of a fettle and are easily obtainable.
Thanks for the input fellas.

In my experience as an airsofters liposuction only sizzle when they are fucked around with or not regularly balance charged.

Thanks for the reassurance, I think I over reacted a little when I watched the 'look what happens when you charge a lipo battery' vids lol.
Im going to try 1 in summat else when I can get hold of 1 in the uk.
Thanks.

me personally, i have used many lipos in builds but not the 1200 mah round ones, i stacked two 850mah 70c packs in a parallel harness , i did however notice there was no power drop off towards the end of its charge but the 18500 efest did outlast it with a noticable drop off, id did last longer however :)

Don't be afraid of the the turnigy 1200mah lipos. Smashing little batterys, very easy to replace. Just order in advance and keep a couple on hand. Cheap as chips but it does take 6 weeks to get them if the UK warehouse is out of stock (which is always)

BUGGER!
Bin workin on this mini diy kit last couple of days on and off, test fired out the case all workin great.
Thought Id have a go at getting it all in the case today.
Easier said than done these cases are tiny.
Finally thought Id got it all in when I noticed Id managed to pull the screen off the tape.
Needless to say not best pleased with meself at the moment.
Still fires and regulates, just no screen.
I think I will call it super stealth mode.

Did order 2 chips as they where cheap but I think Im keeping the other for a custom box where the tape/screen aint going to be all stretched out.
