Hi
I've had a Sig zmax for some time now and recently purchased a hcigar chi you, for the mech chi you I have previously been advised to use this battery, Samsung INR-20R 18650, so I have a pair.
Now my question is, so far I've not been sub ohm, mainly 1.5 ohm micro coils with cotton, is this battery ok if I want to try sub ohm or say even 1 ohm, as I understand it is a fast drain 20 amp cell, although I've read conflicting reviews hence my deliberation.
Secondly, can anyone suggest a decent battery for my regulated mod sigelei zmax 18650, I presume efest imr or aw imr but unsure as say if I check out Torchy's price list for example there are several different efest imr 18650 cells, and his own branded batterys don't say imr so to be truthfull I'm tying myself up in knots at the moment0:)
So I'm looking for 18650 for a regulated mod
And
18650 for a mech one for sub ohm and one for above 1 ohm
Sorry for being confuddled:-)

The AW IMR 18650 1600mAH for the ZMAX, and the same one will be good for down to 0.5ohm, the Samsung should be fine down to 0.7ohm. Theres also a new purple efest 18650 due out soon that should be good down to 0.4ohm...

Or the Sony VTC4's which are available now and are rated for 30 amp drain, and mine have been down to 0.2 ohms which gave about 4 hours of heavy vaping.

There's not a lot in the price of a high drain battery and a standard. You may as well just get some efest or Sony 30amp batteries.

Cheers guy's so the high drain options you've all suggested with the higher amp ratings will be good with both sub ohm on the mech and regulated vaping on the zmax too? I wasn't sure whether a higher mah rated imr would have suited the zmax better?

They will work fine. They might not last as long as a high res coil and a high mah battery but they last long enough and keep you safe.

Higher mah battries will give better life in Regulated mods, but then you need seperate batteries for everything, trade a little battery life for a lot of convenience & safety...

I use sony vtc 4 for all my mech's and when I hd my zmax used torchys if you wanna know your amps use http://vapecalc.com/
for instance if you were using a fresh battery at 4.2 volts with 1ohm coil you'd be pulling 4.2amps - 0.5 is 8.4amps - 0.2 is 21 amps
so you only really need the subohm batts really if you plan to go into minus 0.5 or raguri territory that guys a nutter good guy but a nutter

Hi chaps, I've taken on board your advice and ordered 4 of the Sony vtc4's, I've already got a pair of the INR 20 Samsung so should cover both mods with these, also splashed out on 4 aw imr 18350's obviously not for sub ohm, I need to look at another rba, or even a rda for home use, maybe something from Nat at Vapegeek or keep my eyes on the classies, somethin I can coil for use with the 18350s would be good then I can use it to work instead of my current mvp and evod;-) this day time set up just ain't cutting the mustard anymore since stepping into the real world a few months back 0:)
