I'm no rocket scientist, but you need the majority of the airflow to go under the coil and wrap around the other side the of the coil. Learnt this from the Kumo my favourite RDL RDTA

I've been trying to get a kumo for ages. Also I would love a voltrove rta and the rba.

Love the Kumo even with all 4 holes open its restricted and fancy wicking pipe works even with 70/30. Someone in our classifieds has one for £12. I'm might be full of it but it's my favourite RDL vape, think most people keep the coil to low and think its crap.

Yer I believe it was the one I was going to buy but he sold it on to his mate. Unless there's another and I missed it.

The Monarchy and the Wick'd V3 are both Excellent both MTL and RDL. I use both regularly. Out of the two i think the Wick'd is the better for MTL, i use the Dope also quite regular along with the Steam Tuners Insider and the Exocet, the latter 2 are more RDTL to DTL plus they are quite hard to get hold of. Got a SteamShell coming from China and can't wait to get that.

For MTL monarchy MV, monarchy Ultra, NTSU2, dope are brilliant for around 1mm draw. If you want slightly more airflow the angry fox 326 and 415 are also brilliant RBAs.

I liked the Atemporal close of the top airflow row gave good flavour.
I think you need to get airflow to hit the bottom of the coil then wrap around the other side. If its hitting the centre or higher it wont work properly well that's my take on it.

The Rba I got with the nitrous AIO has dual airflow. (Both sides) So thinking the update fixed the flavour issue. I've still got the airflow halved off at the top. But flavour is banging. First build I eyed the coil and was close to shorting out on the top. But flavor still on point. Then rebuilt a couple mil off the deck.

OMFG. Now your talking. It's rare for me to have a vape that leaves my mouth watering. But this one does every time. Wether it's because it's technically an rdta Or distance to mouth with it being a boro. I don't know. But it's amaze balls.

Will have a look. There's a couple I've been looking at that come with a 1.2mm pin. From suicide. But will take all the advise I can get.

Especially as it's mid winter. I have a vape and the Mrs looks at me tuts then opens the back door to air the living room out. Lol.
