Best bottom coil tank?

Try the davide aspire tank
Bottom dual coil big flavour loads of vapour
Almost as good as a kayfun(almost but not quit)
Get them at VaperCaper

I have come to hate my pro tank 2. it has been leaking loads and i just dont know whats the problem. I have evods and have not long got a fogger v2 which im starting to get on with. for me the evod is the best i have...... best vapor production and flavour. now the thing i cant get is that if the evods work so well why dont the pto tank 2 as the rebuilding is the same. the evod gets my vote.

Airflow.

While the PT and the Evod use identical heads they have a different draw. The evod gets it's air from 3 little holes in the base, and the protank via 2 holes in the 510 threading. The Evod sits inside the recess of your larger mod, or neatly on an eGo battery. The PT2 usually sits up abit with a small gap away from the 510 threading slightly.

More air gets into a PT2 than does an evod so the physics going on near the head are different. The draw is different on some mods than others.

You can fix all that with an airflow controller used to tighten up the draw and you can get those from lots of places for about £3 or so.

edited to add: The best Bottom coil clearos on the market right now are the Davide Aspire Tanks, hands down, no question. An aspire cheaper clearo will give you a similar quality of vape for less monies, but the build quality is lower and they won't last as long. The major downside is you need to buy a new head for it every couple of weeks (not rebuildable) and cleaning heads inbetween flavours is a PITA. If you can live with those drawbacks then they are top stuff.

Next closest imo is a PT2 either in mini or in standard. Lots of vendors sell both the Aspire tanks/clearos and PT2s.

Im gonna try and rebuild my pt 2 now and give it another go, i did try it with an air flow controller before and didnt get a massive difference but will give it another try. have never used anything but 3 mm silica and .20 kanthal. i have some 3mm ekowool and some 2.5 mm silica so may try using them and seeing how we go. i normally build to around 2.5 ohms so may try 1.8 and see how that pans out to. any advice on a good build for the pt2 before i get going!!!

edit... seen a vid on micro coils on the pt2 which looks like it could be a good shout too??? oh and sorry too Ellzy for hi jacking your thread ;)

Hi guys ,
Thanks for all your helpful input, much appreciated.
Right I think I may have worked out the problem, it's defiantly not the heads causing this burnt vile taste. It seem to be my smoktech battery. It ran out earlier so i borrowed my girlfriends 600 battery and it seem to be absolutely fine :S.
Maybe I should look to be replacing that!
Thanks for all your input on the tanks . I forgot to say I'm actually after something smaller than the pro tank 2, so if this issue defiantly is the battery I may just get a mini pro tank ...

Thanks
Elliot

That sounds like an airflow issue caused by the shape and design of the connector on the mod...
