I have been trying to get into the settings with out any luck on my BB, read on different sites that it's Fire + Down Button. Also wanting to try TC on it and read that you have to set TC up on Escribe, any help as always appreciated. For the record my 1st BB was the 70w and only ever used a BB for Wattage Mode,

i think you just lock the device, then hold down the plus and minus buttons. this lets you set the temp.

if i recall correctly fire + down is to lock the resistance. best not to do this.

Hey mate, the dna60 board is a bit of a pita imo. Until you memorize the combinations, you’ll be checking how to do things, because it’s not especially intuitive :17: But you’ll manage, and after it’s set up, you won’t have to fiddle too much :14:

@John R has given you the link to the instruction manual, and that will definitely give you all the info you need:2thumbsup: In case you prefer video instruction, I always refer back to this video (button instructions begin at about minute 6:45):

Escribe is reasonably self-explanatory, but if you need help, we’re here for you :)

Thanks Guys :) , I have only ever used it for wattage so never really had a need for settings, my first BB is a 70w so no need for settings on that either. I have been really enjoying TC recently and wanted to try the DNA BB for a while, it will help me a lot with the info you have all supplied. Thanks

The first time I used a DNA60 for TC I had the same problems - after experimenting with TC I tried to exit and go back to wattage mode and had a bastard of a time actually exiting TC.

I had to ask for guidance on here to find out how to do it - when I finally managed it I wrote down exactly how to enter AND exit TC mode and put it in the box it came in. As I rotate my mods it can easily be six months before I use it again - as I have the memory of a goldfish I still can't figure it out and have to dig out the box despite having the mod for 2 and a half years.

I can't say I'm a fan of the antiquated DNA60 menu. If you have a crap memory writing a few menu notes and keeping them in the box may help preserve your sanity.

i think i am right in saying that with the dna 40 you didn’t switch tc on or off per se, but rather just turn the temp up to the max so it effectively is working in power mode. that’s how the elfins i used for years worked, anyway.

DNA 40 didn't do TC, just temp protect for, nickel I think.

I had a similar experience with a BB I got from @John R ; It was in TC mode and took an awful lot of fannying around in eScribe to get out of it.
To be fair, John warned me it was in TC and kindly offered to “talk me through it” but I declined, thinking, “Just how hard can it be?” It was hard!

Yeah, i find it a bit arse above tit way of doing things, like you my memory isn't that great so i have bookmarked the video that @ZenAnarchi posted for me. It's a wonder no one has made a Sticky for BB settings as they are still a pretty popular device with even newer vapers trying them out. My searches for DNA 60 BB settings has thrown up pretty much all crap. I never thought of just googling DNA 60 settings.
