Yikes. At least 5 hours (7 by coach) travelling by bus and train. Anyone around Bedford area who i could cadge a lift there and back with? I'd happily split fuel money.

Yep Windermere is the nearest about 3 ish miles you need to change at Oxenholme to get to Windermere
