Boro tanks

I lube mine too just got unlucky with some bad quality.
Just tried using my limelight tank and it flooded so fuck boros today imma use my pioneer instead

My Pioneer gurgled for the first time this morning. Ironic since it's the first time I've used it since the test. LOL. :rotflmao:

It's still the smoothest tank I've got though and cleared after a few draws, but still I think I should re-read your wicking advice today. Perhaps I don't have it mastered after all!

Might just need to up the wattage,
My og pioneer is gurgling like a bastard right now too, that's what I get for wicking at 4am in the dark.

I'll live with the Pioneer for now and just re-wick it again in a few days. It's not bad enough to rip it apart immediately. At least I know I can do it quickly now without fear anymore.

I've got bigger problems with my DTL tanks at the moment. None of them are wicking correctly and they've all gone south at the same time.

My Arbiter 2 is vaping hellishly hot and dry, and will have to be re-built once empty. I've already rebuilt three Blotto's this morning as a matter of precaution, with leaner builds and better cotton in each.

I think I have been over compensating for a bad batch of Muji by using too much and causing it to burn. I've semi-Scottish rolled the better stuff today and packed it much thinner. Hopefully that helps.

I'm still very much a beginner when it comes to high wattage DTL builds though, so there's going to be a lot more trial and error involved before I settle on something.

I never even used to like DTL, I only relented and did it for tests and review, but now I've had a few good builds in my own tanks, I'm enjoying it enormously recreationally and it's opening up a new side of vaping to me.

I've still got a lot of learning to do before I can wick DTL as well as MTL though as it's certainly far less forgiving.

Once there I'm thinking about treating myself to a nice mech mod, but I also want to do more experiments with mesh and enter the rabbit hole of boros... Which comes first is any ones guess.

Strange how things affect people differently.
When I started vaping I went straight to DTL, it just seemed the natural way, to me. I had to force myself to do MTL. So, eventually gave up and went 100%DTL.
Mechs came, comparatively, early in my journey. Though series and Parallel took a while longer. And I now find myself drawn to RDTL and MTL.

Seasonal changes have an affect as well cold weather makes thick juice thicker.
You know me and wicking I like to keep it on the danger side the thinnest I can get away with is always best imo.
Have you thought what your first mech is going to be?

I'm not at the point of eyeing up mechs yet in the way I am with AIO's, RDA's and mesh decks, but I want to get myself something to treasure rather than just own.

The older I get, the more I'm favouring quality over quantity, and really just now want a few nice pieces that I can use and enjoy, and not a bunch of pods and generic cheap plastic gear that goes in a draw and gets forgotten about.

It's not easy being a budget conscious impoverished snob. Frankly, I'm just tired of the plastic and pleather, and I'd almost be as happy with an attractive, metal, regulated mod as much as anything else. I just crave a bit of variety right now after having the same rotation for a while I am coming round to the idea of a wholescale down-sizing clear-out and a few treats to partially replace the losses.

The summer heat played havoc with my 50/50 IVG juice because it became so thin it was leaking out of the 510 pin. I had to wrap the 510 in PTFE tape in the end, and that seemed to do the trick, but the the weather has cooled since then.

Yeah I see what you mean

One of my earliest mechs was the deathwish barebones ghost ship edition, I saved and I saved and couldn't afford it and in the end my sister gave it to me for my birthday one year.
Still one of my most treasured vapes.
And no matter what it sits pride of place.

If you do end up getting a mech I would recommend something like the mechlife arcless, may be tricky to find nowadays but it's been a real workhorse badass mech for me. Premium and solid feeling and with safety features like a lined tube.

As for variety I know exactly how you feel, that's why I jumped headfirst down the rabbit hole of boro.
Most people change up flavours when they want something new, I change styles of vaping lol
I can use my same old summer blaze 70/30 on a hard hitting mech with a dripper and have an equally fantastic and different experience as I will get using the same old summer blaze 50/50 on a tiny mtl bridge in a boro.

When I got the Thelema as a daily banger mod I went with the dna version despite it being double the price of the quest for 2 reasons.

1 I want the best I can afford.

And 2 there may come a time when I want to jump head first into temperature control vaping and it'll be handy to have dna mods to choose from.
