Boro tanks

We’ve gone more than a little off track.
The reason for my post, was to find the difference, advantages and disadvantages of each type. Not the ones you like, or have.
For instance; doesn't the Proro have a lower capacity, to a standard Boro. Also it has both front and back, secured with o-rings. Does this lead to more, potential, leaks.
Also, how good is the AFC on the mission.

The mission is the one with the front and back glasses although the back one may be acrylic considering it's screwed on.

The proro tank may have a small difference in capacity but to me its not noticeable.

The only benefit to the mission one as far as I can see is aesthetic.

Of the ones I have used the proro and the stock boro are the most reliable despite the seal gaskets being temperamental.

The yet to be released ones (cthulhu and ether) have the big advantage of a metal base which will probably create a better seal, and the two piece nature will make getting bridges in and out easier. although they will share the disadvantage that the limelight has, where the fill bung may interfere with panels.

Basically if you get one with a fill bung try to find one where it is recessed like the snail tank.
Or if you prefer sliding glass stock or proro are about the same.

Oh and sorry about derailing the thread I kinda forgot we weren't talking in the orange room :blondmoment:

I just stick with stock boro's except the snailtank I have as I find the stock ones do the job nicely except like someone said the gaskets can be a pain. I did have a gasket break but it still kept a good seal so never replaced it

Update on the sxk mission spacepod boro.

I ordered an authentic replacement seal gasket from ohmz.co.uk and I'm happy to report it's now working great.

It's a tight fit in my billet box but I've got the dope in there (not sure if its the authentic or the sxk they got mixed and matched during cleaning) and its working nicely

I've found that the top and bottom of rings hold a bit tighter than the standard boro and provided you don't take the back glass off it doesn't seem to pose much of a leaking threat.

Cheers guy.
That reminds me. I need to get me a couple of those negative terminals.

I would be wary of aliexpress, there are a lot of rip off merchants on there but I've seen these start popping up recently if you wanted a splash of colour
