I was just watching a video on youtube of the Clone vs Authentic, and honestly it seemed so close they could of come from the same place, even the box was the same.

Does anyone here believe that some items get picked out for the 'authentic' batch, then some go in the 'clone' pile lol? Obviously not all companies, but I have in the past got clones and the authentic too and if I was sold the clone as the real thing, I would not have a clue as they are that good.

EDIT: Apart from that one case where we know that authentic mods were sold off, as the company did not pay for them and the manufacturer needed to make the money back and were sold cheap, that were then said to be clones by the company lol.

Sad, but I'm a bit excited.

The shorty uses a similar clutch mechanism - but the broadside seems a big improvement in a 3 ways I can see: no spring, lined tube, and the clutch just seems more substantial.

I can see the shorty being retired when this arrives.

Nice repro tube, just like the original.
Nice black paint; not really gloss but not an outright matt either.
No spares at all though but it shouldn't be hard to buy a few orings the right size

The button was initially a bit hit and miss but settled in after 100 firings and is now very consistent.
I've tried it with 25Rs, HG2s and 30Qs...... They'll all fit with minimal effort on the adjustments.

I'll be getting another at this price.

Ahh nice, they are doing the ones in the cardboard tube again like the Authentic? Apparently that was the first batch of clones, then they got another supplier that wasn't as good, so if you have one of those I think you might actually have a genuine clone (I really do believe some clones come from the same factory as the authentic mods in some cases, as we do know that has happened before).

Finish sounds nice, and the spares should be easy to find like you say.

What build are you running in there, as I see you are using 30Q's and HG2's, I gather not some super sub Ohm 0.01 build lol.

If you are getting another I think I will order one ASAP, would you be able to take a picture if possible? I enjoy my vape porn lol, it makes me happy when someone else gets something that is really good!

I unfortunately have to wait a little while though until payday, if it is still there I will snap it up, if not I will go for 3Fvape and grab the Black coated copper and copper version.
It really does seem like a mod that deserves a part in the collection, and could well be one I love in 20 years time when my regulated mods have passed on to mod heaven. (That is if I haven't passed on to human heaven- or hell lol).

I rarely go below 0.2. I'm usually .25 to .4.
anything lower is just for shits and giggles and I choose the batteries to suit when I do.
I got the HG2s as torchy rates them better than most others when you're running them below 20A - and my gut agrees.

Hmm i thought the Broadside clone from 3fvapes comes in the black cardboard tubes? You'rs didn't? In this youtube comparison between clone and authentic, the clone looks spot on 1:1.


So does 3fvapes now sell a different clone than shown in the video?
