Hi,

I've been vaping on a new CE4 clearo for about five days. Have to be honest,I've dragged the hell out of it because until today my nic level was too low and I was overcompensating.

The juice was a very dark Totally Wicked vanilla (now switched to Hangsen) and on removing the atomiser I saw it was black and gunky. Flushed out with warm water. Blew out. A VERY gentle twizzle about with a cotton bud to remove gunk, dried and reassembled.

Now it just tastes foul and seems to be running hotter than before. It's also quite crackly. Is this normal? Maybe the wick's still wet at the coil.

If it's had it,I'd rather not taint any more of my juice trying to find out.

Any thoughts folks?

Cheers.

Try doing a dry burn on it .......this will burn off all the juice ...wash all the juice out with water shake it out a couple of times and put the clearo on battery let it burn for about 3.5 secs and you will see the coil glow orange shud be okies then ps dont hold the button on bat too long as it will pop the coil...hope this helps

To be honest after using a thick juice and giving it a good hammering as you say for 5 days I would say it's probably spent and time to get a new one.

Thanks for your feedback daleson and Ejuicebox. I've just read a post on another forum that interestingly suggests removing the atomiser head then its silicone cap and boiling it for a few minutes, after which you flush it with alcohol (surgical I suppose) then flush with hot water, dry, dry burn, prime and vape.

Sounds a bit over the top to me to squeeze life out of a two quid fifty component ;-)

Tobes it's worth a try I guess. I used to do this with cartos then realized it was as you say a low value throw away item and just thought sod it I will buy a new one.

Well,I boiled that baby out and it still tastes like poo,so it's off to Safercigs for some new 2.4 ohm atomizer heads today. Thank god they're six miles away!!! :-)
