Buying ready made Clapton etc, coils, they look kind of expensive, can any one recommend diy reels to do your own that may be just as good?

Crazy wire company and stealthvape are both decent for wire.

I like the ni80 or ss flatwires both good in wattage mode.

It depends where you are buying them from, I build my own with numerous wires but often use premade Ni80's or SS316L

If you look on Fasttech you will see them at a fraction of the price, here's a few links to some I've tried and rate highly:

Premade
https://www.fasttech.com/p/6438400 - great SS316L selection box, cost per coil is pence and last ages.
https://www.fasttech.com/p/9639812 Ni80 selection box, slightly more expensive but worth every penny, there's some superb coils in there and one I have on repeat order.

Never used Fasttech? as a wise man called Nike once said - Just Do It
I ignored them for months and bought UK stuff, wasted loads of money, took the plunge and have been using Fasttech only now, great resource for most vape supplies.

Just make sure you use E Packet as delivery method and if your order is over £15 drop them a message.

Will take a chance on a1 kanthal Clapton, I am not into ni or steel yet. Thanks all and all for some advice on the matter of coils.:13:

I've bought from Crazy wire and their wire does the job. I liked that they have finer gauge for clapton wraps along with their shipping was FAR cheaper than having to ship from any US company. The main reason for Crazywire was they have 29 gauge inwhich makes perfect tootle puffing 1.4Ω 29/34 clapton.
As far as making your own claptons. IMO best wrap gauges is 34 and higher(the higher the gauge the easier to break the wire while wrapping). Using 32 and lower gauge as wrap wire causes long ramp up time, too much stress on the batts to ramp up the coil and long time to cool down. If you listen to the crackling after you vape, thats juice burning onto the coil as its cooling down, pulling a second or two unpowered after the vape helps cool down the coil with less juice burning.
I might be a bit bias but buying wire from Fasttech is IMO scarry. Yes they have some reputable products but on the other hand they deal in a lot of cloned products and it could be your getting mystery wire that may not be up to spec.
