Noticed that when i charged an 18650 and an 18350 at the same time in the intellicharger i2 the 18350 charged ok but the 18650 did not charge and just got hot. i had to remove 18350 and just leave 18650 on its own to charge it. was wondering what issues there would be with charging an efest IRM 26650 @3500mah? Thanks...

That`s odd as the Intellicharger treats each bay as a separate device so you can charge different batteries at the same time.
I suspect you may have a fault either with the battery or the charger as I regularly charge my 18650 and 18350`s at the same time with no problems.
You can even charge totally different types of battery at the same time as long as they are on the list of compatible batteries.

Keep an eye on it as getting hot is a bad sign in a battery. How is the 18650 performing now you`ve charged it?

As long as it physically fits there should be no issues charging a 26650.
Just to be safe I would not leave the i2 charging unattended until you get to the bottom of the overheating issue.

The 18650 performs fine while vaping now, i'm surprised it got hot without charging when i had it charging in the intellicharger i2 alongside the 18350? i had it in for about 2 hours or more and the light indicator stayed on bar 1, only after i took out 18350 did it charge properly, without getting hot. brand new battery and charger only used them both once before. hope i haven't picked up a dodgy battery or charger? will have to monitor very carefully now every time i charge that 18650, pain in the ass!!! Timewasting!!!! which i don't have!!!!

I charge different sized batteries at the same time in my nitecore charger without any issue - obviously the smaller 350's charge quicker but no heat or other problems.

Keep an eye on it...

Cheers

Definitely odd and certainly a pain...
Do you have some other batteries to try, just to try to eliminate the charger as the issue?
If other batteries charge with no issues then it may just be a duff battery.
Nitecore and EFest stuff have excellent reputations but everyone gets the odd duff one from time to time.
My gut feeling is an issue with the battery but it`s hard to say for sure...

I have 2 duff bats, only arrived yesterday, charged them for 4-5 hours on the nitecore charger also new and only got 15mins of life out of each of them :(

Probably the 18650 battery is duff but saying that it charged fully with no problem the first time, this was the second time, yeah probably a duff batt., but still vaping/working now 100% so who knows?? maybe i should bin it to be safe, don't know....

I would probably just keep a close eye on it for now and watch for any signs of overheating.
Any more misbehaviour like that and I`d get rid of it.
I don`t like advising people to bin something they`ve spent money on but at the same time a thermally venting battery can really ruin your day!
A new EFest 18650 is £6 on Myepack and I`m currently running 5 in rotation on various mods along with 3 18350`s and, touch wood, no issues with any so far...
