What's new

can't taste a thing do i have to wash my tank out

if the smell persists it s a good idea to try and remove the orings, swrews and completly dissasemble the atty before you clean it

Never noticed any perishing but then again it's not something I do regularly, only if a tank has a lingering taint to it. I tend to just wash out with warm water usually.

was just checking didnt think it would with the occasional wash/rinse

Not really something I can take credit for, been said before many times :D

Sure I read somewhere that steradent denture cleaning tablets are good to use. Anyone tried them?

I use the tablets. Just a tiny piece of one in a glass of water works wonders. A pack of tablets should last a long time.

Denture tablets are a pretty cool idea and cheap to pick up, £1 - £1.50 for a pack of 30 at the local supermarkets, gonna grab some myself and see how that works out for tank cleaning. About the same price as buying Milton having a quick look, i guess either will work though.

EDIT: Grabbed some coop branded ones at the local, gonna give them a shot when i empty one of my tanks.

usually i use lemon juice with warm water if the liquid was to agressive. Keep in mind plastic may crack, or discolour from lemon juice.
