Caution if transiting in singapore with vape gear

Hi Apes,just a heads up for anyone who is going to travel to or through singapore.
Vaping is illegal in singapore,however they do not mention that any vape gear spotted in your carry on luggage will be confiscated (i just found that out the hard way)
I am not sure of any way around this and am also wondering if any other apes have had a similar experience or if i just got damn unlucky and encountered a jobsworth of a security officer.
If anyone has any tips or advice please post it may save others having to replace thier kit

A quick search of the rules would suggest you'd have to import your gear similar to a business with "advance notification, licence or certificate approval".

In other words, don't take your vape gear to Singapore or other well known Asian destinations.

that site was a lot more informative than the changi airport guide for transit,,thanks for that,,i guess on the positive side i am lucky they didnt sieze my 2L of nic base in checked luggage
