Hi everyone, new to vaping after a 40 year :eeek: smoking habit. Decided to start vaping. Started with ecig nicotinelle , it was okay but needed something with a bit of punch. After watching you tube videos I decided that I would try and get myself a starter kit. I opted for e go t 4 kit which arrived this morning. I plugged in my charger and charged up the battery. Never noticed that there was a small light on the charger that was suppose to light up ( it never lit up). So when 5 hours where up I attached my clearomiser to battery already filled with juice (getting the lingo already) and it was fantastic, I am well and truly hooked . I thought that I better charge my other battery but again no light on the charger and I don't think it is charging. I will be in a desparate state if the battery I am using now runs out and I haven't got a spare already charged. Do you think I have a faulty charger ? It was brand new in box when it arrived this morning. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I think its faulty mate you can pick ego charges up cheap as chips on the web but obviously your going to have a wait time.

Try cleaning all the contacts and changing USB ports etc.

Also ..put the battery on the charger...then plug the USB bit into a USB to wall adapter and charge it that way.PC USB ports aren't the safest way to charge

Deffo make sure you haven't over tightened anything otherwise you run the risk of pushing the battery connection too far into the battery, making it so there is no connection

Thanks for your quick replies. I've tried all of the above and gave up and ordered a new one, hopefully this one will work. Thanks again . Just hope new one arrives before batteries run out .

If you only got it this morning Budgie then I'd advise you call the vendor tell him you'd like it replaced as basically it's not fit for purpose. The other point that occurs to me is whether you charged it via a USB connection to your pc/laptop or the mains. Charging by a USB port takes quite a lot longer than mains socket. I don't know the charger but maybe 5 hours is simply not long enough to fully charge the battery.

Did the button on the battery flash or illuminate whe you tried to charge it? It may just be a duff / disconnected LED in the charger.
failing that, I'd contact the vendor for a replacement.

budgie i can't PM you as storage is full, however please see below:

I can't remember the exact ratios but i was using ripe banana and FlavourArt butterscotch, it was 20% flavour for the volume but the banana was really strong so i think i went about 14% butterscotch and 6% banana, with 1 drop of ethyl maltol per ml ( so 10 drops).
You can sweeten further with premixed sweetener to your desired taste, i tend to mix most flavours to about 20%, you could drop it down to 15% if it is too sweet.
hope the info helps, you can also make smaller size mixes without nic base, that way you are not wasting it, also allow your mixes to steep for a week or so!

That's great I ll give it a go thanks

Your charger lead LED should be red whilst charging and go green once the battery is charged..

If you dont have a multi meter to see if you have output, heres a couple of simple ways to tell if its charging and just a duff LED or if its not working at all

1 - Your battery button should light up while charging (mine do but I don't know if they all do that)

2 - Turn your battery off (5 clicks) connect it to charger, mine light up, then when removed from the charger its automatically on again, I only found this out by accident as I have a couple of spares in a carry case, that I keep turned off but charged for emergencies..

Hope that helps you sus out whats wrong :)
