Hello all, I purchased some of these off eBay. The replacement coils are 3 for £2.95.

I'm just interested to know the procedure. When it comes
to cleaning them when you change the coil?

I take it you can was all the parts in lukewarm water with maybe washing up liquid or a mild detergent? Then dry it with a hair dryer?

Is it ok to get water in the stand part that the coil screw onto?

Hope this is clear thanks.

Yes , and yes, but just water, no detergent. And if you look up DRY BURNING, you shouldn't need to change the coil until it's completely manky. Those coil heads are rebuildable as well.

Cheers mate. I suppose it's advisable to give them a good wash as well when changing flavour eliquid? I've currently got blueberry in it.

Not sure they are,I had a look at my own & decided that because of the length of their legs, rebuilding wasn't really likely to work, that & the coil was down a short tube so nigh-on impossible to see beyond the coil/wick what the legs were doing.

run it under a hot tap, dab the wicks with a kitchen towel, blow torch the wicks while firing the coil, blow repeat blow repeat.
Wet wicks with new juice (when cooled a bit) put back together, fill, vape :)

I use hot soapy water (have I learned nothing?) on my wicks if I have used a particularly smelly juice. Is that wrong and why?

What about cleaning the wadding, fabric stuff in a ego cartomiser? Should I boil whole cartomiser in a pan for 10 mins then oven dry, like I saw on youtube? Or hold under a hot tap or boiling water from a kettle? Or just buy another cartomiser? Thanks...

ADAM, I've never tried a carto. so can't help there.
Midnight I don't know if that's wrong or not, to be honest. One would assume, that as long as you've rinsed them off properly, it shouldn't be a problem. But if you have not, then you who knows what s in your vape. As differnet soaps and detergents, are made up in different ways.
Chegs I know exactly what you mean bud. I have ce5's, some with short heads and some with long heads. Can't really tell from the fleabay image what they are.

I tend to keep heads to similar juices (if that makes sense)
But then i do use some mild detergent, then put them to soak in clean hot water, followed by a dry burn.

That's what I tend to do Doofry. Works for me. I do make sure I rinse well though as I don't want to be vaping Fairy Orange washing-up liquid. ;)
