Hello people's,

I usually rinse my Kayfun v4 or marquis coils under water and then pulse the coils a few times to dry them out. This usually cleans them out. Over the last few days I am noticing this is no longer enough. If I wick the coil it does not taste good.
If I put the coil bases in my newly acquired sonic cleaner then there is no problems and no sour taste.

Any other ways to clean the coil ?

Juggles this is a newly wrapped coil. Put some KGD on and used it for 2 days. On the 2nd day which is today I rinsed and pulsed it. Looked clean and then put some VCC cotton. I know it's not the cotton. I had that sour taste before I changed wicks. I cleaned the kayfun a internal juice tank section so everything was pretty clean overall.

Vapers choice cotton or VCC. Very impressed so far. Thing wicks like cotton bacon but none of that metal like taste I got with bacon. Very easy to wick up. Shame it is so expensive in the UK. Will see how it goes but very impressed so far but then again bacon and cellucotton were also great but then went side ways.

Dunno about pulsing & rinsing, i take the cotton out dry the build deck & let it glow right up, then a hard blow & bingo. Same single coil can last ages. Never had the need for a sonic cleaner for anything.

I fill a cup with water and submerge the coil in the water after a pulse. This way you can see the crud coming off the coil. I repeat till I see no more crud floating down in the cup.

Usually 3 pulses does it.

Couple of runs dry burning then it's time for new coils. I like making coils.

Pox. I agree. Must admit though that being able to clean the entire tank inside and out in a few mins does make life easier. As for coils I am going to wrap some extra coils so I can just install and go. Lazy git I am. I blame the floyd vs manny fight. SuperTripleDouble excited. Floyd 12 SD. First 6 rounds will be pure gold.
