I'm going to order the ft mini lipo version this week for the sake of £36. If the battery is shit top quality 30amp capable lipos are only £3.
You will need some shrink wrap, solder, soldering iron and of course the replacement battery packs. I would want to find out what the electrics inside the unit are like first though, they might not be rated to support a higher amp battery, which could potentially be quite dangerous.How easy is it to swap out the lipos?

I've used lipos for over 10 years in rc cars etc. I know the difference between good and bad lipos and I trust the lipos I've ordered more than the ones installed from FT.
