Coil building question

Hi guys,

Wssnt sure if this should go in the questions forum or this one so this is a guess lol.

Im finding that, when im building my own coils, i can build the coil fine and im getting use to how much wick to put in, but one thing i have found is when ive screwed down the clamps onto the wire, i cant seem to get a clean cut off the rest of the wire so ill always have a small bit protruding out the other side. This obviously makes putting in the other coil quite difficult. Has anyone got any tips on how to cut it cleanly?

Ive tried twisting the wire round so it naturally snaps off, but it always snaps off too short and im left with the original problem still.

Any help is appreciated.

If it's a dripper i just bend them upward.
