I've been reading stuff coming out of India that says the exact opposite.
You're right, it isn't clear at all.... I'm holding up my 'nobody knows' sign.
The simple fact we have no resistant or immune patients. If we did, we'd have a vaccine, by now. And an nhs that was COVID resilient. None of which has happened.
Plus we are now seeing patients that have recovered, getting a second dose. Indeed the first confirmed death, of a second infection patient, was reported last week. Our glorious govs utter incompetence means we have no idea how ,any reinfected patients, we have. Lol. We don't even know how many fist time infected patients, either way. Immunity or resistance would be headline news. But no, no mention.
You realise you can find these yourself, right. Perhaps you could find all the information on the worlds immune or resistant patients? It seems fair for me to ask.
Yet not one offers any evidence of immunity. They all look at immune response, most on non primates too. An Ineffective immune response, is as bad as none at all. Lots of theories, but very light on human evidence.https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/06/200623111329.htm

They are research on immunity. All theoretic. The real world tells a different story. The exact opposite of what? You mean what you’ve been reading suggests we do develop some immunity or that we don’t?
From what I can see, there’s strong evidence that those who’ve had the virus have some immunity via antibodies: it’s how long those antibodies remain effective that’s in question. It’s still early days though, and there simply isn’t enough data to really know yet.
We have no Covid resistant or immune patients? How do you know that? That isn’t a ‘simple fact’, it’s an assumption on your part. It doesn’t necessarily follow that we would have a vaccine by now, this virus is still in its infancy. If you’re certain that there are no Covid resistant or immune patients though, you should definitely get on to all the drug companies spending billions racing to develop a vaccine. All the vaccines they’re working on (theoretically) work by stimulating the immune system to create antibodies to effectively fight off Covid 19. You should let them know it’s a complete waste of their time and resources.
So... essentially we have no way of knowing if anybody’s been infected for a second time at all? If we don’t even know how many people have been infected at all, how could we possibly know that?
Plenty of other responses have shown links to data about how the immune system and antibodies response to Covid is being analysed. You’ve said ‘we don’t develop resistance, never mind immunity’ with absolutely no evidence to back that up. Without it, you can’t really expect people to take you seriously.
Lol. A lovers spat. Tory appointees cram the BBC board and top management jobs. Also . the beeb spouted it .. not the government ..
they aint exactly friends these days ..

we've had over 10 million cases. If the body was ever to make us mum even, it would have done by now. We should have over 9 million immune people. But that's not the case.
