So, while waiting for my vaper to arrive, i figured i'd go sufing the net (and forum) and gather some informaition.. in past couple of days i found a lot of usefull infomation, and with that came a lot of new qestions... so i'll just post some of them in one topic.... and please forgive me if some of the questions were already answered somewhere and i have missed them...

Ego kits
-i have read a lot about buying from the right manufactor. But what is the main difference? I mean, they all look the same for me, apart battery capasity... how do you know you are buying the 'good product' ?

Claromizers:
-If you buy ce4 kit, can you put ce5 or ce6 on it instead?
-What is the main difference between long wick, short wick, no wick claromizers?
-how do you dry-burn?
-regarding my first question...prices warry from 2£-7£ for one... is there any quality issue with cheaper ones?

I think that is all for now... :) tnx for your replies in advance...

Joyetech, Kanger, and Vision make the slightly more costly EGO batteries...they are probably the best 3 in the industry for these types of batteries.

You only know what you are getting if:
*The vendor is honest and reputable
*The product is branded or the vendor is listed as an Authorised reseller by the manufacturer
* People can advise you on alternatives based off of personal experience (the cheaper non branded items)

Yep, Ego batteries come with a 510 and an EGO thread, so any of the CE series should (hypothetically) fit. I say hypothetically because some of the knock offs dont even have the most common threadings.

Long wick doesnt require you to tip your clearo as often to keep the coil hidden inside wet enough to vape. Short wicks, you have to tip more often but supposedly provide a better vape. The no wick (newer mesh clearos) use a metal mesh wick inside wrapped with a coil (or a cartomiser)

Dry burning is just pulsing the battery so that the coil heats up. This is done to remove excess gunk, or to quickly dry a wick after wasking.

As per your last question, see above :P

tnx for reply...

there is still one thing that is not clear to me... what is 'better'... wick or no wick...?

which is better depends on what you want. I prefer the cartridges. I would think its down to your personal preference

From the perspective of a relative novice- I've used CE4, BCC (bottom coil - eg Kanger Evods and Protanks) and DCT (dual coil- these are cartridges with a tank) - I like the BCCs for their cool vape, and the wick sits in the juice, so always gets a good supply. Some people find the vape a bit too airy and cool. The DCT is very warm in comparison, and probably produces most vapour. I still like BCCs best, though. I have the best of all worlds with a selection of Evods, small CE4 types, Protank and DCT all on the go at the same time, so I can flit according to mood (and flavour).

CE4 is a common starter tank, but you'll likely want to upgrade to the rebuildables, which tend to vape better (or at least are more consistent in quality) and cost less in the long term (basic CE4s are disposable, so when the coil goes, you just replace the entire tank).

The battery issue is a minefield - I've had a ropey cheap one from Ebay, but the FastTech ones have been great (and still cheap) - you do have to wait a fortnight for delivery, though.

The vendors listed on this site should be reliable, and many offer discount codes.

I do still like the Ego because it offers 2 industry standard threadings and will fit most tanks (though an Ego twist opens up more options on different resistance coils). I'd also suggest getting 2 batteries, or you'll be smoking through the recharge period.

"I've had a ropey cheap one from Ebay" The two ego's I got from ebay, work better than the two I got from a vender. (ropey buttons). CE5 long wick and MT3 are my preference.

Hiya Tim, I can share my experience and hopefully it helps... when i bought a twin ego starter kit it was advertised as a CE5 but was a CE4. I was also unsure what threading the variable voltage (vv) battery had as the description on the website that i bought it from didn't specify. I read many times about 510 threading and appeared that this was the standard threading for ego batteries and fed up of refilling the 1.6ml CE4 I decided to buy a 4.5ml DCT Cartomiser with a 510 thread, it was £10. My logic was If it fitted i knew i had a 510 thread. It fitted and was great.

To answer your question you need to know what threading your battery has and in theory any cartomisers with that threading will fit?

On a side note the CE4, CE5 & CE6 fit flush to the top of an ego battery (look underneath and the threads are inside), with DCT 4.5ml the threads are visible (sticking out at the bottom) and required a 14mm high steel ring with 510 threading with 2 holes punched to allow air to be sucked in when vaping.

As i recently learned, buy from a vendor that provides detailed information about a product, it shows the vendor know's what their selling and more importantly if it's not the right one you know what not to buy next time.

Couldn't agree more. A knowledgeable vendor is key to help you on your journey

Tnx for your answers...
I bought my kit from vendor found on POTV, so it should be ego/510 (2 batteries 1100mah). i'm usig it for almost 2weeks now... And im very happy about it.. It seem it's not one of the better or should i say recognized manufacturers but the battery lasts me two full days and some more... And i use about 1,2-1,5ml per day...
So i'm pleased with my batteries, the clearomizer is the one i'm not satisfied with (ce4)...
But i allready ordered kangers mt3s and protank mini 2 (again, from vendors i found on POTV), so they should be here by the end if the week...
I really like the option on ego vv baterries, but i dont think i'm gonna buy them. I think i'm gonna switch to mod rather than spending more money on various ego batteries...
Like i said in my intoduction post, this is my first ecig, i just wanted to see if it suits me... And it does... Regular cigarets taste lik shit after just two weeks and that is the answer i was looking for.
