COV Wraith owners help pleeease

Well, I just dismantled mine, so easy! Remove battery and bottle and with base opened you will see two little cross-head screws.
Undo those and the whole base comes away, do it carefully and the screws stay in the base which is handy.
You will see the board on one side and the 510 on the other side. With no atty attached, whole thing just slides easily out.
Apart from the up and down buttons, they stay inside and are not fixed so will fall out so be careful.
Although the only issue I had with this Wraith was a fire button (which stays on the case) with no feedback, I still checked everywhere for signs of juice but all was good and no sign of liquid anywhere/
So checked the fire switch on the board, very clicky.
Like a lot of electronics these days, no springs involved, just plastic and wadding of some sort (silicon?) to act as a spring and that was at the back of the button still attached to the case.
Did a quick fix by moving it back over the centre of the rear of the button and now the fire button is like new.
I'll do a more permanent fix another time with a new plastic pad spring thing.

?

thanks for posting this mate :2thumbsup: my button is going the same way , did you do a more permanent fix ? if so what did you use ? :)

I have just got one of these. With a prebuilt 0.7ohm super Clapton single coil, i like to vape @ 50w. This is showing as 6.16v. Is that safe with a LG HG2 battery?
Yep, as it's a regulated device it should be safe, and just to check, using this chart
Ohms%20law%20pie.png

you're using √P/R = √50/0.7 which by my calculator comes to just over 10 amps; HG2s are rated at 20A max continuous discharge.

Edit: just checked again, it's actually 8.45 amps, so even better! [emoji4]

Been on hols mate - no, didn't get round to a more permanent fix, re-seating the silicon (or whatever it is) has kept it working fine.

Right, bit of a bump here but it's the best place for it!! I bought mine from Truvape last April and a few weeks later the fire button started playing up....same as above.....whatever was sitting behind it (silicon or whatever) has been disintegrated into nought!! I contacted them about a replacement as it was such a cracking price i didn't really want the refund route.....they told me that at that time there was none left and item was now discontinued which i believe to be correct because they did stop it for a while. I just then let if sit in the box, tried a couple of repairs, not too much joy so back to the box. It will fire occasionally by the way, the electrics are sound afaik it's that damned button. Like the mod too other than this flaw!!

Anyway, roll forward to start of this year and whatya know it's back on the market! So i go to Truvape site and see something very interesting....their warranty policy covers accessories for 1 year and i'm under that. I email details above, dodgy button after a few weeks blah blah and response from Skythrone (parent company i think) says we'll have to cash refund you! This was a couple of weeks ago and i've nudged them twice about this and what to do (most recently last night) and come in today and the £27 is back in my paypal!! I've still got the device!!! Result!!

By the way, has anyone come across a fix for this and what is the best thing they have used under the button to get a half decent result. It doesn't look like that hard a fix and the panel comes out dead easy to allow acess inside

@johnbhoy nice to see you got your refund
This is a really old thread started March 2017 maybe somebody will see it and be able to help.

yeah...thanks mate. It does fire.....just very seldomly....i've tried a couple of fixes like i stated...one actually worked for a wee while and the other the wee piece of silicon i used was just too thick!

By the way, i don't feel guilty in the slightest for still having the device and the cash refind! Like others have stated, i had negligible use of this thing till it started playing up.....def a manufacturing flaw with some! Pity because it's not a bad mod.....certainly for the house anyway!!

I just bought a Wraith and really like it. I hope the button issue isn't a common one. Only have had it for a week now so far so good. Glad I didn't get the white one although the Storm trooper appearance was tugging at me.
