Covid anti-lockdown protest

Mate - long time no see! I’d ask how you are, but clearly it’s not good

best wishes to you fella

Cheers mate! I've got to say that I'm thankful that I appear to be in the "mild and inconvenient" category - and that goes for the Covid too!

That said, if the sleep i am having for hours at a time is beauty sleep, I am due for a Shrek-Prince Charming transformation any day now! :18:

Keep well :2thumbsup:

Whilst not condoning any street gathering / protest in London last year, at least the protesters believed they had a just reason to protest.

Contrast that with the event in that with the new years eve / early hours of new years day that was featured on both sky news, and bbc news in Edinburgh complete with video footage of revelers drinking in the street, including a young lady swigging a 1 1/2 litre bottle of wine, and a street dancer from Morocco. With no other reason than they wanted a party.

Tried to find a link to the video, but unfortunately was not able to find one.

I ageee any street parties etc are bad and need sorting.

the problem though with the protests IS that they believe they have a right to be there. It’s dangerously bonkers.

£10k fine if you’re a kid having a party.

£200 fine if you’re Piers Corbyn.

Its fucked up.

I'll say it again - these people need locking up in the same way we locked up people during the war - for the sake of the lives of the public.

They aren't "demonstrating", this isn't freedom of speech, they're posing a clear and present danger to hospital staff, patients, and the public at large.

Spot on. There are too many people that seem to go out there way to fuck it all up for others. When you look at the enormous efforts the NHS, the government and many many others are doing, its criminal that those fighting against doing what we should all be doing to end this terrible situation are not being brought to justice.

Not condoning these protests one bit.
but locking up people for protesting is a dangerous precedent.
