covid precautions and mods

I had a phone conversation with a friend who makes mods..... I will call him Keith

"got a good one for you" Keith

"hmmm shoot" me

"I sent a mod out to a guy he's messaged me with a problem it's a regulated mod, DNA" Keith

"oh really, what was the problem" me

"well he got the mod and said he was concerned over covid-19" Keith

"ok I can see that so how does that relate to the problem" me

"ready" Keith

"go on" me

" he unpacked the mod in full PPE then he put it in a glass and filled it with vodka...." Keith

"that's different" me

"yes I thought that it's not every day you Smirnoff your mod, in any case he poped the old battery in after he dripped dried it and the mod safe to say was completely fucked" Keith

by now I was laughing

"proper fucked?" me

"yes" Keith

"and" me

"he's buying another" Keith


word to the wise don't do it......

Some people ! I thought it would be obvious that electronics and liquid don't mix but there you go !

Using an alcohol wipe on the outside carefully would have been more than good enough. Or maybe set it aside for a week and don't touch it.
