Cuboid and Uwell Crown ni200 0.5 coil help

Howdy people

Im having a slight problem with the crown i think. I am using it in combo with my cuboid as my RX200s arrived from @gearbest.com yesterday, fantastic service from them for a change ordered on Friday and it arrived yesterday, and that includes a bank holiday . So i put my Griffin 25 onto that and dusted my Crown off for my Cuboid.
I have not used TC for ages and the only coil i had for the Uwell was a 0.5 Ni200 coil, so i primed it filled it and set the Cuboid to TC ni mode 45w 320f locked the resistance in at 0.5 which is what it came out as on the mod and vaped it. It seemed to get warm but tc protect didn't kick in on a good 6 second vape, i had a lung full of thick vape and had another 6 second vape still no TC protection. So the next one i was looking at my mod and i noticed that the temp didn't go above 240f and it has confused me as before when i used TC on my crown it was going to 320-340f any ideas guys? If it's 0.5 ohm, it's not a Ni coil. I think that's the problem here - sounds like you're running an SS coil in Ni mode.

It defiantly say ni200 0.5 ill upload a pic so maybe fake coils. @danb @WaitFor1t_88

From memory, the Ni coils are 0.15 Ohm.

If that coil reads 0.5 on a device, it's 100% not a Ni coil (you'd need roughly a million wraps of Ni200 to get a 0.5 Ohm coil, it wouldn't fit in a Crown head).

I assume it's a mislabeled SS coil (which apparently do not work properly in TC mode, I have never tried).

Thanks for the help guys much appreciated i will just bin this coil off and order a fresh pack it seems as though its mislabeled.
