What's new

Custard concentrate roundup.

I didn't cry, that was the sound of air intake in awe of your ability to spot compounds by eye alone.

It's just a guess, i've noticed any of my concentrates that are remotely creamy have a yellowish tinge to them, i'm assuming it may be down to the presence of these chemicals/flavourings.

Do i need a PHD in Chemistry to have a wild guess in these forums? Never knew that.

Higher than the safety limits but still many times lower than smoking (if i'm reading that right? It's late :grin2:)

If it's better than smoking, i'll take the risk. It definitely tastes better than smoking.

It is generally at a lower level than smoking, mainly a lot lower, but from what I have read it could be one of the components of smoking that is most likely to be the cause of COPD, so it isn't to be sniffed at. If you listen to the radio interviews with Dr. Farsalinos, his main point is that in smoking it is an integral part of the combustion process and therefore unavoidable if you wish to continue burning leaves and inhaling the smoke from them. However it is an added ingredient to eliquid and therefore an avoidable hazard that the industry should be encouraged to phase out. Personally I would prefer the industry do their best to remove both diacetyl and acetyl propinol from the ingredients list and the other associated chemicals that can breakdown to form diacetyl during the heating process.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that you won't beat the vanilla custard made by my local vape shop. Many people here will hAve heard of them and probably tried their vanilla custard. I fancy one with stores in Tamworth and burton does the best custard I have tasted and I know a lot of people that have tried and tried to recreate it with DIY kits but failed miserably. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed but be warned you won't want another custard again and of you are a home mixologist then you will be trying for a long time to copy this custard lol

I've got 30mls of Mom and Pops Colonel Custard homebrew steeping here. I notice it never gets mentioned in custard chat, is this a bad thing or have most people just not tried it?

My local b&m makes a good vanilla custard and only charges £7:50 for 30ml, bargain.
