Custard fail

I have made x2 10ml samples of custard from a guide stating it was a grants vanilla custard clone, one i have added cinnamon but both just do not taste how i expect.

They have had 4 weeks steep and concentrates are capella.

Is there a simple creamy vanilla custard i can make with different concentrates? im about to give up.

You can get tjuice colonel custard concentrate but I prefer Capella. In what way does it not taste as you expected?

15-17% cvc ,2% ddl ,2drops em/10ml..tastes pretty good to me although still playing with em/sweetner
....i found colonel custard fairly revolting it must be said.:-/

Hi @Riddlesuk, don't give up, there are so many recipes out there for custard variations, it's all part and parcel of mixing. When you get the flavour right, you will love your own mix, but probably go on to tweak it further like so many other mixers. Experiment further and cut your bottle samples down to 5ml to save costs.

Leave the samples for 7 days and I would suggest that tasting them at this point is going to give you a feel for how the flavour will turn out. If you dont like the taste, leave to steep longer to see how much the flavour will improve but at the 7 days point, mix up some more 5ml bottles with your variants.
