What's new

DAD FRIENDLY RTA'S.

I know it's smaller, but how about something like the Ehpro True? I never loved the looks, but it's really, really easy to build and never caused me any issues?

Not one I've tried I myself @Crewella,. But one ill certainly look into to give him a few options look and recommendations.

There's some good suggestions coming up here thank you all.

Okay, so I got the shock of my life the other day when my Dad said to me: "I'd like to try one of those rebuildable tanks like yours when all these coils are used up. I'm tired of buying them, it'd be so much easier to warp my own. You can show me how can't you?".

Franckly I thought the day would never come and it's made me a happy bunny that I won't have to keep finding him coils he may or may not like anymore.

Although this leaves me with a problem...

Now I have to find him a tank he likes, an RTA suitable for a seventy year old that he can rebuild by himself. I'll often be heling out but he seems to be excited about the prospect of building his own.

So, I'm looking for some suggestions for a pensioner's first RTA.

The criteria is simple: I.E the simpler the better, MTL, large and basic that's easy to wick and won't leak, gurgle or spit. I don't want to put him off before he's tried.

The holely grail would be 24mm, top-fill, top-air-flow with large flat, non-GTA style deck, large flat-headded clamp-down post screws and plenty of access to the coil. He'd also like more than 2ml capacity if possible.

Like I said, the easier the better.

Trouble is I can't think of anything that's like this and was wondering if any of you guys know of anything close or that may fit the bill instead. All I'm coming up with is a KF clone with a top-fill kit but I'm not sure he'd like that idea.

None of the criteria are set in stone so I know I'm going to have to comprimise on something - probably the size or the top-air-flow - but the ease of build is pretty much set in stone. He won't stand too much fiddling.

I'll probably start him off on my Berseker to see how he gets on with it and then and move him on from there.

On another note, he's now vaping Dr.Vapes 'Pink', and that's something else I never thought I'd see. We live in changing times my friends.

Luv and best wishes to all.
Ive. Been looking for the same exact thing (pretty much) dont forget the augvape druga, the bp mods pioneer, the oxva arbiter solo, and the beserkers, which as someone else said are pribably perfect, like the hellvape someone offered u (the vertex i think) and this one, im pretty sure it a vaping bogan tank, just cant fugure out which one. Sorry if sime of those arent exactly mtl, just the im in the market fir pretty much exactly the same thing so ive been looking for a while now.
Also i just discovered the kelpie, its an older rta, so not sure if its around, and not sure if it was any good.
i have also never had a prob with the dovpo abyss using the ether rba (as opposed to the bridges), and that thing holds like 7 ml or something ridiculous ive been told

^^pretty sure this was a vaping bogan deck of some sort

Also, the hellvape vertex (these are all decks i amagine to be really easy to build)

The wotofo gear v1 as well.

The v2 is made of plastic, unless that suits u, i guess its less breakable maybe.

Also as suggested to me by a cpl knowledgeable members the taifun gt4 or clone (new version) or a cpl other taifuns (the gtr, and gx) and the brunhilde rta

And ok, ill give @zouzounaki a plug for his beloved dvarw, lol

Also, I also love my kizoku limit, and if he decides not to build he can shove a nautilus coil in it instead. If u can find one for sale that is. They r getting extremely rare.

@Astral drop me your address via pm, I have a Hellvape MD tank I can send you. Comes with spares and a bubble glass

Are you sure @ritchierich? That would be most kind of you. He'd appricate that and he, and I, would be most grateful. It looks ideal on paper and well worth a try.

I'll PM you.

I think that's Matt's (SMM) RTA, the Serpent RTA or something similar @Jd_

The Kelpie went out of production a while ago I think, it weren't that good anyway (would insert laughy face here but my browser's having one)

Kylin Mini v1 & v2 are similar and better than the Kelpie, worth looking up

The Hellvape Vertex RTA is the follow up to the MD @Astral if he gets on with it

Thats funny, i have kylin v2's, they are brilliant little tanks but it is such a pain for me to get those little coil legs into the holes.

Just been teaching Dad to wick the Hellvape MD @richierich kindly sent him. Apart from trying to commandeer my Odin to go with it, it all went surprisingly well. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on with it himself now.

Once again @richierich, thank you. It seems ideal for him.
