Darkstar concentrates - Flavour Apprentice help

Hi, hopefully some quick replies as I have a HUGE basket full of The Flavour Apprentice concentrates ready to buy.....

I tried Darkstars Bottle Shots, a little hit and miss and most disappointed in their Lemon Tart which is my core flavour I always go back to, it was near flavourless! (I won't go into detail but it was mixed and steeped correctly, other flavours done at the same time came out far better)

Anyway, I figured I am ready to plunge into true DIY mixing so I can get the right amount of flavour.

My question is, are they highly rated and if you had to choose 5 core ingredients for Cake / Sweet style, which would you say is a must?
(I have 16 flavours in my basket I like but would hate to miss out on a core ingredient)

First one I want to make is a simple but sweet / strong Lemon Pie Crust, the rest will be experimental.

(I have gone mad with the amount due to the discount code DS35 - appears to be 35% off BEFORE tax)

The dark arts concentrates they sell are rebranded flavour art, which many people rate very highly and are very pure and highly concentrated.

If it helps, here's what's in my basket:
(It helped me realise I have gone a bit loopy!)

Should I be adding things like Custard for pudding type flavours?

Apple Pie - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
Bavarian Cream - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
Cotton Candy (Circus) - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
DX Peach (Juicy) - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
Fruit Circles With Milk - Flavor Apprentice 30ml

Pancake - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
Pie Crust - Flavor Apprentice 90ml
Pineapple Juicy - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
Pear Candy - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
Rainbow Drops - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
Ripe Banana - Flavor Apprentice 30ml

Cherry - Dark Arts 30ml
Grandma's Cake - Dark Arts 30ml

Meringue - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
OATMEAL COOKIE - FLAVOR APPRENTICE 30ML
Raspberry - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
Toasted Almond - Flavor Apprentice 30ml
Banana Nut Bread - Flavor Apprentice 30ml

Propylene Glycol 1L
Vegetable Glycerine 1L
18X NICOTINE SHOT (50% VG | 50% PG)

It's a lot of dosh to splash out but the cost difference per 10ml compared to me buying Dinner Lady & Liquid Rage is HUGE!

Let me clarify if youve not had banana nut bread as a solid before you may not find this to be as expected.
Rasberry and pineapple is the core ingredient in fruit salad chews with a hint of cream.
Ignore the cherry for now long story but the flavour fades and youll need a little more experience with this one unless you already have a tried and tested recipie for this one.
Your selection is varied so should offer you several options.
Think you may have too much sweetner as things like cake, meringue, waffle, and cotton candy will be providing sweetness and if you do need it it will only be a couple of drops per 10ml.

Id double or even trebble the amount of VG in your basket as you wont use much PG as your flavours and nic are already held in PG.

Dont forget to share when you cracked any must have recipies.

Thanks

I have tried Banana nut bread before and loved it, not allowed it any more due to diabetes (hence my over the top sweet choices).

I have had a few cherry off the shelf juices and wasn't impressed so yeah I think it's best to leave that for now.

Changed my VG to 2.5 Litres thanks, I would have missed that.

I chose 50/50 for my nic shots thinking it was a balance, good or bad idea? I care little about vapour production, it's all about great taste for me.

Swap the shots for one or the other or it will add effort to your mix calculations.

This is a recipe for a clone of a well known lemon bakery flavour:

Thanks, added to my recipe folder :)

Problem is I only bought Flavour Arts (some like the sweetener I assume I can use), so looks like another shop - uh oh! I do get carried away.

Unless it's a Dinner Lady one which I wasn't overly impressed with, a bit mild for my tastes.

I don’t have many TFA flavours so can’t really offer any suggestions, I’m afraid.

Yes, it is. I agree, and add more lemon and substitute TFA Pie Crust for the biscuit and some of the Graham Cracker.
