There is no evidence that e-cigarettes cause popcorn lung. In fact, all of the evidence points to the contrary.

While all those media outlets are still publishing untruths about a link between vaping & popcorn lung (and even being taught in schools!), any new articles on it do not feel late to the party...

But yes, I'm sure there would have been quite a few threads about it on POTV.. and this is also preaching to the converted (but aren't most of the news threads on here?)...
.. but I thought it was a decent article, and with quite a few citation/links to back up the various points...

The hardest part is getting these messages past a media who loves controversy and are more interested in increasing their sales and viewing figures than in soiling their hands with anything as mucky as the truth.

As results from the more eminent long term studies disprove some of the more ridiculous claims made by the sensationalist media I think that we`ll see more u turns and retractions from the more responsible of that ilk..... but dont hold your breath.

I will try and put an optimistic spin on it… When I was studying the environment at UCSB, my professor developed one of the first data models for assessing climate change. While the scientific community was well aware of the dangers of the greenhouse effect, traditional media and the public at large were at best skeptical, if not completely disparaging.

Over 3 decades later, it is now common knowledge because of the overwhelming amount of research and evidence collected. The more scientific data and research that is published, the greater the chances of convincing even the media and politicians of its veracity. It does add up!

We can only hope that it adds up before there’s too much idiotic legislation
