What are people's thoughts on this? Anyone getting good results, and if so with what flavours/concentrates?

I've been thinking about mixing up a large amount of mild tobacco base (VG, PG, nic and a tobacco concentrate) so that it can all steep for a while in 10ml bottles before adding whatever flavour concentrates to it. It just might reduce overall steeping times.

I like the idea of firstly simplifying my mixing day routine and secondly producing all my flavours with a tobacco base, inspired in part by Manabush I guess. Not so much trying to replicate the Manabush juices as develop what I like from a pretty sound idea.

This may work ... it may not

I have 2 or 3 juices that are made in 2 parts (they just don't taste the same if all made at once) so I mix the two halves (with Nic base) steep for a week and then mix .. then steep for a few more days (we call them bridged juices)

On the other hand, I have tried making the Manabush base up without Nic then using the correct percentages of that .. and its just not the same .. so each juice is mixed from all the fresh components from scratch .. I wish it did work .. would save me a hell of a load of time.

it DOES work with some flavours .. sadly not with others (at least with my juices) .. its a bit hit and miss so the answer for me .. is to just go the long route :)

Bridged juices, I like that term, makes sense ...

Works for some flavours, not others ... so the task for me is to work out which. I had since reached a similar conclusion and decided to make 2 types of base.
1. VG/PG and nic
2. VG, PG, nic and DNB (Inawera)
The first would be for flavours like nuts, fruit, chocolate, vanilla, biscuits etc ... the second base for tobaccos.

Now, I'm no chemist or juice expert like yourself, but I think a first steep of the nic and diluents has got to aid the overall process and it's going to:-
a. save me a ton of time
b. simplify the flavour testing (add concentrate(s) to one base)
c. be a whole lot safer if I'm handling concentrated nic only once a month instead of every time I want to try a new concentrate.

Bearing in mind that I'm a complete amateur and only making juice for myself, the bridging will primarily be the combination of fully steeped juices. eg 5 parts tobacco, 3 parts chocolate, 2 parts nut and 1 part vanilla. Only if something exceptional turns out am I going to break that down to work from concentrates and "mass produce" 30-50ml of it! :)

I guess it's about knowing your own limitations and ambitions, and mine are pretty low! :)
I can't thank you enough for the feedback and advice @ZT, it's just amazing that you take the time to help out vapers like myself. Top man!

+1 top man, he must have to be careful not to give to many secrets away! diy juice seems to be such a minefield, it's great that an expert finds the time to offer up some tips and words of wisdom. I'm sure everyone reading this section appreciates his input.
