My intention wasn't to make light of Dry hits or to green light using TC wires in power mode - the point of this thread was to get rid of the "Myths" surrounding TC, TC coils in power mode aren't really dangerous in the same way a kanthal coil isn't really dangerous - do something stupid and it WILL turn round and bite you in the man grapes. but simmply running the coil in power mode is not dangerous on a regulated device. As for dry hits - using cotton they are unpleasant but not in the same league as a tobacco cigarette or a silica wick - that said anyone intentionally taking dry hits on any coil and wick combo frankly deserves anything and everything they get, up to and including a Darwin Award...Good stuff, Tubby. I'm still dippping in and out of TC, the next time will be when I get an SX MIni ML class to try out. I'm told TC is all about the chipset ... how true is that?
Also, you made mention, and made light it could be said, of the dry hit. Isn't the dry hit still to be avoided at all costs ... perhaps the only aspect of vaping which is truly dangerous to the vaper? It concerns me a bit that you're practically giving a green light to using Ni200 and other TC wires/coil heads in power/wattage mode. Shouldn't we be very cautious about that?
