So after contributing to the DIY Juice today thread I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread that you could update with both the good and bad results of DIY.

So to start today I am vaping my first proper custard made on 9/11 and my tobacco, dark choc and ginger. The custard is outstanding and would not change a thing.
The tobacco, dark choc and ginger is lovely but a work in progress. Maybe slightly less ginger next time as its a powerful concentrate and I'm still trying to decide on which tobacco concentrate I like best.

My ADV is an American Red tobacco base with 8 additives that has taken me 18 months to perfect.

I also have a custard with malted milk, condensed milk, butter, vanilla and Bavaria cream added.

18 months!!! Now that's dedication. Both have a lot of concentrates from what I can see. Most of what I mix is 3-4 with just one at 5. I have a lot to learn.

Vaping my home made custard cream flavour, it's probably been steeping for only a week or so though, knocked up 30mls :p

I used Capella Vanilla custard & Capella New York Cheeseake but added a fair amount of Ethyl Maltol for sweetness! :)

but on the other side is my banana custard which needs a recipe recall haha :p I'm going to make it 5% Banana to 15% custard next time instead of 1-% each :')

I haven't been mixing long but if you want to take my advise, only make 5ml - 10ml bottles when you're testing your own flavours & maybe stick to 20% flavouring for your stronger flavours (but some concentrates are not as strong as others)

A strange one, composed of three juices that were not terrible, but weren't really getting picked up, either.

Equal parts DV cognac, FF Christmas Pudding, and an Apple Pie with Cream whose origins are a little obscure.

The result is a vaguely spicy apple brandy sort of thing, that will be an absolute pig to reproduce, if I decide I like it enough to try to make more.

Sigh.

My main rotation today is:

A Snake Oil inspired juice
Blackjacurrent 'onut
Coconut Aniseed

I need to work on another sweet fruity mix because none I've got are hitting the spot.

After Christmas a Snake Oil replicant is on my mix list. I doubt I will ever get it spot on but something similar will do me.

What's your thoughts on a recipe? What do you taste? I've been tweaking my latest one for months.. It's tastes good but it still needs a little tweak.. Possibly just an overall increase in percentages.
