What's new

DNA Chip set, what makes it so expensive.

You mean my smok gx3000 with 40 led lights and a 19inch touch screen doesn't have a DNA board

Good luck is all I can say. What does touchscreen have over Replay pray tell. DNA boards aren't gimmicks, they deliver power fast & smooth, are the benchmark for TC & the new Replay function is for those who want the convenience of TC without the faff.
Have a search on here & the web & compare fail rates, customer service, after sales support & you'll see the extra cost of DNA & YiHi pay for themselves.
Each to their own but try looking past the £ sign & gimmicks.
For what its worth, I do have a set up for my wife that she loves. The IPV6X, and as for the touch screen, the tank It for didn't cost me anything. So it was an even swap and I looked at it as a win-win for me. I meant no offense about the DNA.

You do know the IPV6X has the other lead boardmaker YiHi for internals.
No offence taken ;)

None taken, but for $4 free shipping, I got the last one they had. Just like the COV tempest for $7 I didnt care
I buy by price. And resell them and make a few dollars

This is an enthusiast forum so it attracts members that more invested in vaping and are willing to put the time and money into improving their experience.
I would imagine that most people that vape have never thought about joining a vaping forum. For most people, a simple unregulated stick mod with stock coils is all they need.
I don't have a lot of experience with mods but I've seen the difference in failure rates, battery life, consistency in ohm reading, and how consistently they fire and ramp up.
I'm unwilling to pay for a DNA mod at this time, but I have a family to take care of and a PhD to finish. After I finish my PhD and get a proper job I will buy something.

Not all DNA mods are that expensive, but most of the expensive regulated mods are DNA.

Congratulations on finishing your education for becoming a PhD. Good for you, Dr.

It was not my goal to offend anyone, all I was doing was trying to a myself with real life information. Just because its written, does not mean its true. All I was looking for was people who had experience with a DNA mod

So you flip them then. Why not point other vapers in the direction of the bargains rather than trying to make a few quid

There's plenty on here who use DNA mods. Most because they do what they very well, some more enthusiastic & have mods for low ohm/high watt, squonking, mtl, TC & Replay.
