DNA USB board connection

So I have this mod with DNA60 chip but without the USB board installed. I need to change some settings so I bought the USB board, 10k ohm resistance and soldered it on. The chip itself is glued in and very hard to reach, also I don't feel like generating heat around the 3D printed body so I don't have the best connection there.
I've made the most solid connection possible between the USB board and the chip but my computer doesn't recognize the device. It's not fixed in place so I think I'll need to find a new way to do this. Is there a way to make this connection so I can plug the USB board in and remove easily?

There's a YT vid on how to do it on a Billet Box, using the USB board as a dongle that plugs into the DNA60 board. May help you out if you can easily acces the board.

Thanks! Looks like he's using thicker wire (and no 10k resistor) for the connection. Will try this out
